She guides children through structured speech, and debating skills, fostering their growth and confidence. Her dedication to nurturing talent is evident in every endeavour. A visionary educator and mentor, at The Speakers United, Priyanka shapes the future, one confident speaker at a time.

With one of the most prolific resumes in debating, Shruti describes herself as a full-time debater and part-time student. The top speaker in her team at the Nepal Australs 2021, she was part of the first (and only) Indian team to win a university debating major. That same year, she achieved recognition as the 2nd Best Judge in Asia at the Bali ABP. Always pushing boundaries, Shruti has now shifted her focus to the biggest challenge in the sport—preparing younger minds to take over the debating circuit. As a coach, she brings the experience of over a hundred tournaments, including coaching the Indian team for ICYD, serving as a Core Adjudicator for the Netherlands World Schools Debating Championship 2022, and being a Team India WSDC selector for three consecutive years, along with being part of the Highest-Breaking Indian Team at the 2024 Malaysia UADC. Most importantly, Shruti brings her unbridled joy of working with children and her unwavering passion for debating.

Meet Soma - the calm, efficient force who keeps The Speakers United running smoothly behind the scenes. If you’ve received a friendly payment reminder or a follow-up message about fees, chances are you’ve already interacted with her! Soma is the one who ensures everything stays organised, from tracking payments to coordinating with parents, so our debaters can focus on what they do best: speaking, thinking, and winning. Warm yet firm, detail-oriented yet approachable, Soma makes sure the administrative side of TSU works like clockwork. She’s an integral part of our team, helping create a seamless experience for both students and parents.

Tarushi is a debater, adjudicator, and child psychologist who believes that when given the right guidance, children can do pretty much anything. That belief is at the core of her work - both in debate and beyond. A graduate of RMLNLU Lucknow and O.P. Jindal Global University, Tarushi brings a combination of legal training, psychological insight, and competitive debate experience to TSU. She has broken at the United Asian Debating Championships, served as a Team India Selector, and has multiple wins across the debate circuit. Her interests outside debate often tend to reflect the same things she argues about inside a round - social justice, feminism, and pop culture. She also reads as much as she possibly can, and has a mild problem with buying more books than she has time for. At TSU, Tarushi heads Admissions and Mentorship - working closely with students and parents, connecting young debaters to the right opportunities, and making sure every student who walks in feels like they belong in the room.

The Indian National Debating Championship (INDC) is The Speakers’ United’s flagship debate tournament and one of India’s most prestigious platforms for competitive student discourse. Now in its 5th edition, INDC 2025 brings together the country’s most formidable young debaters to clash over powerful ideas in the Oxford format.
With high-intensity rounds, thought-provoking motions, and a distinguished judging panel, INDC goes beyond competition, it is where critical thinking, persuasive advocacy, and confident leadership take centre stage, shaping the voices that will lead tomorrow.
The 4th edition of the TSU’s Indian National Debating Championship, TSU’s flagship tournament, took place in 2024. A dynamic and engaging event, it went beyond traditional debates, featuring passionate speeches, lively discussions, and a glimpse into the future shaped by our students—the leaders of tomorrow. The tournament spanned two vibrant days and included junior, middle, and senior categories, with top executives serving as judges. Amidst the winter chill, the event brought warmth and energy, making for an unforgettable experience.

The 5th edition of The Big Experience brought together another incredible group of young learners for a summer camp unlike any other.
Designed to give students a glimpse into the world beyond the classroom, the program introduced them to the workings of a professional corporate environment while building confidence through debate, teamwork, and problem-solving. Along the way, they discovered that leveraging their own strengths to help their teammates succeed is just as important as individual performance. This year, students also explored the practical side of policymaking by stepping into the shoes of different stakeholders, from parents to policymakers, to understand how decisions affect diverse sections of society. Dressed as the roles they represented, they brought the exercise to life with enthusiasm and creativity.
With engaging debates led by TSU’s much-loved coaches, plenty of fun, and unparalleled exposure to new ways of thinking, The Big Experience 5.0 once again proved that the best learning happens when students step outside the classroom and into the real world.
The 4th edition of The Big Experience brought together students from across the country for a week that was equal parts debate, teamwork, competition, and controlled chaos.
There were fast-paced practice rounds, brainstorming sessions that demanded quick thinking, and discussions where every participant had to respond on the spot, a skill that’s increasingly valuable in a world where decisions rarely come with preparation time.
Beyond the debates, students were introduced to the kinds of conversations that shape organisations, institutions, and society. Working in teams, they learnt that listening, patience, and helping others perform at their best often matter just as much as making the strongest argument yourself.
As always, the week had its share of pizza breaks, awards, celebrations, and plenty of laughter, making The Big Experience 2025 as memorable outside the debate room as it was inside.

The Big Experience, 2024 was an intensive, week-long camp where debaters from across the country came together to learn, grow, and connect. Designed for students at all levels, the camp offered a dynamic mix of skill-building workshops, practice rounds, and personalized feedback from experienced coaches. Beyond debate, participants engaged in community-building activities that made The Big Experience more than just a camp, it became a space for debaters to challenge themselves, forge lasting friendships, and leave inspired for the season ahead.
The 2023 Kapuria Cup was the third edition of the Indian National Debating Championship, continuing to build on the momentum of previous years. It was marked by its sharp adjudication, high-quality debates, and an expanded national reach. With teams joining from across the country, this edition showcased a diverse range of arguments and styles, pushing the competitive standard even higher. The 2023 tournament also deepened the INDC’s reputation as a space where both seasoned debaters and emerging voices could thrive
